About Soojian Brothers

Our Company is owned by partners John Soojian, James Soojian and Steven Soojian.

Since 1971, we have worked in commercial and residential construction, real estate development and design of residential projects. Our experience includes:

• Formal education at university level
• Hands-on experience as artisans
• Field management
• Office management
• Cost estimating
• Coordination of rezoning
• Land use and site approval processes

Current Company Structure

Currently the company is focusing primarily upon commercial projects including ground up construction, tenant fit-ups commercial conversions and rehabs.

Construction is accomplished primarily by the use of subcontractors, combined with an in house force of superintendents, carpenters and laborers. This combination of forces enables us to complete projects at competitive rates, with quality workmanship and at the fast pace required for commercial construction.

We have further developed a unique approach to the renovation process at the request of our clients. We are able to keep their stores open on a daily basis during renovation. This required the implementation of creative and fast track systems while being able to solve inevitable challenges afterhours. It has proven to be very beneficial to our clients while in turn keeping us very busy in a slower economy.

In 42 years we have not been involved in legal actions of any kind (judgments, bankruptcies, liens, etc.).

A brief timeline of Company activities

Soojian Strausser dissolved at the end of 2009. We felt we had grown too large and too fast and wanted to get back to a more controllable size operation. We concentrated our focus back to our most healthy customers; Starbucks Coffee, Rite Aid, Seven Eleven, while continuing to do turnkey projects.

We also expanded our operation into two new areas; Facilities capital improvements, and permit expediting in the NJ market. Adding these areas of expertise has helped to keep us busy while allowing us to have a pulse on our clients workload. Jobs ranged in price from $5,000 to $2,000,000 and our volume for this three-year period was over $12 million. Soojian Brothers prides itself in building customer relationships and truly feel we are a "Full Service" general contractor.

Due to the economic down turn we partnered up with a company out of Pennsylvania and became Soojian Strausser Construction. This partnership allowed us to expand our operations into the service station arena. While keeping our current client base, we were able to take on new clients such as; Circle K, Sam's Fueling Stations, Image Point, Pro Sign, Cumberland Farms and Wal Mart. We continued to do various turnkey landlord projects as well. Jobs ranged in price from $5,000 to $4,000,000 and our volume for this four-year period was over $37 million.

Our operation changed its focus to concentrate almost exclusively on new commercial construction, tenant fit up and rehabilitation. Our clients included Starbucks Coffee, Rite Aid Corporation, Boston Market, Chik-Fil-A, Bally Total Fitness, Wendy's, Arby's, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Taco Bell , CVS Pharmacy, Cosi Restaurants, Coldwell Banker Realty, as well as turnkey landlord projects. Jobs range in price from $20,000 to $3,000,000 and our volume for this nine-year period was over $40 million.

Operations were expanded to include residential townhouse development and construction, as well as commercial construction. These projects ranged in value from $300,000 to $3,000,000.

Founded in 1971, our primary company activity was residential construction, including new home construction and renovation.
